Image resultWonder is a American drama film directed by Stephen Chbosky and written by Jack Thorne. It's based on the novel by R.J. Palacio. The film stars Julia Roberts as Isabel Pullman, Owen Wilson as Nate Pullman and Jacob Tremblay as August 'Auggie.' Some of the main themes in this film are family, conflict, friends and bullying.

In November 2012 it was announced that Lionsgate was developing the feature film. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman produced the film. The film was nominated for best makeup and hairstyling at the 90th academy awards. Jacob Tremblays prosthetic makeup took an hour and half to apply. It consisted of a skull cap and prosthetic ears attached, a facial prosthetic that covered Jacobs face and then a wig.

David Hoberman started off his career at American Broadcasting company and later joined Norman lear's Tandem Productions. He then later went onto working at Walt Disney Studios as a film executive. In 1995 he founded Mandeville Films with his business partner Todd Lieberman. Shortly after in 2002 they reformed Mandeville Films and Television at Disney, since then they have produced films such as Bringing down the house, Raising Helen, The last shot, The shaggy dog. He was also the producer of Disney's live-action Honey, I Shrunk The Kids and the first animated full-length feature, The Nightmare Before Christmas, this was produced by Tim Burton. In 2011 he on the movie of the year at AFI Awards with The Fighter. Then later in 2012 he wont Feature film at Christopher Awards with The Muppets.

The film director Stephen Chbosky has produced other films such as The Four Corners Of Nowhere, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. He has also been the writer for many films to such as, The Four Corners Of Nowhere, Rent, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, Beauty And The Beast and Wonder.

Wonder was scheduled to be released in the United States on April 7, 2017. But then was announced it had been pushed back to November 17, 2017. As of March 2018, 2018 the film has grossed $132.4 million in the United States and Canada. Worldwide the film has grossed $298.1 million against a production budget of $20 million. On the films opening weekend it grossed around $27.1 million.
On Rotten Tomatoes the film has an approval rating of 85% based on 156 reviews and an average rating of 7/10. On Metacritic, the film was rated 66 out of 100. Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film a grade of 'A+' on a scale of A+ to F. This is one of the 80 films in the history of the service to receive this score. The film has been nominated for many awards such as, best makeup and hairstyling, best young actor/actress, truly moving picture award and many other awards.
