Office christmas party is an american christmas comedy, directed by Josh Gordon and Will Speck and was written by Justin Malen and Laura Solon. Some of the themes in this film are, violence and the use of drugs and alcohol. The production company that worked on this film was DreamWorks Pictures.  'Office Christmas Party' grossed $54.8 million in the United States and Canada and $59.7 million in other territories for a wideworld total of $114.5 million, against a production budget of $45 million.

The film is based on the CEO who is played by Jennifer Aniston, who tries to close her brothers branch down, so he and his technical officer get all of their co-workers together to host a christmas party to try and impress a potential client, which will hopefully save their jobs.

In 2010, Guymon Casady approached Josh Gorden and Will Speck with an idea he had about making a film about a holiday office party. They set the concept up at DreamWorks Pictures and it was then rewritten by Lee Eisenberg, Gene Stupnitsky and Laura Solon. In 2016 it was announced that the film would star Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, T.J.Miller and Kate Mckinnon. Principal photography on the film began late March 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. Then in early April, filming took place in Chicago, Illinois. Then production was moved to Hiram, Georgia.

Miller who played Clay Vanstone and, Jennifer Aniston who played Carol Vanstone, had the best performance as I think they're portrayed a sibling relationship perfectly. Jennifer Aniston is also best known for playing Rachel in 'Friends' who is a very likeable character whereas, in 'Office Christmas Party' she plays a unlikeable character. Josh Gorden said that he made this character for Jennifer because she's fearless when it comes to playing somewhat unlikeable character in comedies. The editing of 'Office Christmas Party' was full of mostly smooth transitions.

The responses to this film were not so good on rotten tomatoes it says the film has an approval rating of 41% and an average rating of 4.8/10. 'Critic consensus: it's cast of gifted comics if good for a handful of laughs, but Office Christmas Party's overstuffed plot ultimately proves roughly as disappointing as its cliched gags and forced sentimentality.' Personally,  I thought the film was better than a 4.8/10.

  1. Although this writing is clear and fluid, this reads a little too much like a review Rebecca! when analysing please use the ideas that we have discussed before CCCEO! research and discuss the elements of production as well as budget box office, the previous work of the key contributors is key but also discuss comparisons to other films within this genre.
