Winters bone is a 2010 American independent drama film. It's an adaptation of Daniel Woodrell's 2006 novel. The film was directed by Debra Granik. The film is about a teenage girl who is played by Jennifer Lawrence, who is searching for her father to protect her family. Captain Fantastic is a 2016 American comedy-drama film. It was written and directed by Matt Ross. The film is based around one family who are trying to for fill their mothers wishes. Although the films are different they both have a very similar theme of protecting their families. They are both set in America and are based around one family. In Winters bone it's focused on a family who are going to get evicted from their home if they don't locate the father. Whereas, in Captain fantastic it's based around a father and his six children who he has raised in the wild, who are trying to for fill their mothers dying wish. Llewelyn Moss, is shown to be the hero in the film. He is a 36 year old Vietnam War vet. He finds 2.4 million dollars after a drug deal gone wrong. Llewelyn knows the money will changed his and his wife's life. However, after taking this money he then gets himself in to a lot of trouble with Anton Chigurh who is trying to kill him. Llewelyn I think represents most of the audience, the audience try and sympathies with him, as all he wanted was a better life for his family. Anton Chigurh, is the villain of the film. He is cold and calculated , he doesn't seem to have any emotions of kindness or sympathy. He also hardly feels pain. Chigurh has set rules that he goes by but not any sane human would. Chigurh says he has no enemies but that's because he kills anyone that could be. The film 'Casablanca' was directed by Michael Curtiz. It was produced by Hal B. The film was based on the play 'Everybody comes to Rick's' The person responsible for Casablanca were the Epstein brothers, they were the first writers assigned to the film. They were then later joined by Howard Koch who wrote the first 40 lines of the script.  Wallis was in charge of the film who then chose his close friend Michael Curtiz to direct the film. You could also say the film's story editor, Irene Diamond could be responsible for the creation of Casablanca. An example is Casablanca,  this film was made in 1942. Even though this film is before the term 'Film Noir' it's still known as being a film noir, as it's a black and white film and is a crime movie. The term 'Film Noir' was only first applied in 1946. Film noir is the era associated with a low-key, black and white visual style that has roots in German Expressionist cinematography.
